WARD DELEGATES’ ELECTION: PDP BAYELSA FORUM TAKES CASE TO APPEAL PANEL, NWC, BoT

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ogbia Local Government Area Concerned Members Forum, comprising of Party Faithfuls who bought Nomination Forms for the PDP Ward three adhoc Delegates Congress/Election for the thirteen Wards of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, scheduled for last weekend, have filed a Complaint bordering on Substitution, Exclusion, reckless hijack and breach of democratic electoral processes before the Bayelsa State three Man adhoc Delegates’ Appeal Panel chaired by Hon. Udo Ibeji, Esq. and Chief Uche Usawa as Secretary.

The Forum in her letter dated 11th September, 2018 addressed to the Appeal Panel and carbon-copied to the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees and other critical Stakeholders of the Party, exhibits, with motion pictorial evidence and relevant reports, the authentic list of the three adhoc Ward Delegates elected at the Ward Delegates Congress across the thirteen Wards in the Area with a passionate appeal to the Appeal Panel to justifiably uphold her list in the interest of Fairness, Justice and cohesion, as the elected Ward Delegates who emerged on the said date at the Ward headquarters are not loyal or being teleguided by any particular Aspirant(s) but committed to bettering the Party’s fortunes in future general elections.

“At a time that we should be righting wrongs, some are bent on doing otherwise.
Bayelsa State and Ogbia LGA particularly is the constituency of the immediate past President of the Country and all eyes are on all of us”, a portion of the Forum’s Letter obtained by our Correspondent stated.

The Forum in her Letter signed by 39 card carrying Members and Stalwarts of the Party in the Area expressed confidence in the ability of the Leadership of the Party to do the needful to avoid losses and unpalatable consequences, stating that Bayelsa’s Gov. Seriake Dickson is an advocate of Justice.

“We of the Forum are determined in our commitment and loyalty to the Party and resolute in standing to defend the ideals and ideologies of the Party as set out by the Founding Fathers who worked tirelessly to give us this Party”, the Forum’s Letter concluded.
